💡 Renewals are paid in credits inside the app — no third-party checkout each time. Top up first, then pick how many months to lock in. For example: top up $100 (= 100,000 credits), then spend 87,000 credits to lock in 3 months of the $50 plan (3 × $30 = $90, with the 3-month 3% discount ≈ $87), and keep the remaining 13,000 credits for casual use.

How to Top Up

1

Open the app

Launch ThinkAI Kids. Your child's ID (10 digits) and wallet show up in the top bar.

2

Tap "Top Up"

The orange Top Up button in the header opens checkout with the ID pre-filled — kids don't need to remember an account.

3

Pick $30 or $100

Credit card only for now. Once credits arrive, head back to the app and tap "Subscribe" up top to pick your renewal length.

4

Pick a length, save more

1 / 3 / 6 / 12 months. Longer saves more — 12 months saves up to 10%. Paid in one go using your credit balance.

Usage limit details

The monthly quota is the ceiling, with extra 5-hour and weekly guardrails so a single afternoon of heavy use doesn't leave your kid with nothing for the next 29 days. Aligns with mainstream AI coding tools' rate-limiting model.

🎁 72h trial≈ 400 creationsNoneNoneInstall time + 72h
$50 plan (limited $30)≈ 4,000 creations≈ 670≈ 1,070Subscription date + 30-day rolling
$180 plan (limited $100)≈ 13,000 creations≈ 2,200≈ 3,500Subscription date + 30-day rolling
💡 One chat with Mochi + generating an HTML work averages 4-10 token-units (≈ 5-15K tokens of cloud AI compute). Simple birthday card ≈ 4 creations worth, complex SVG animation ≈ 10. 5h rolling + weekly peak are currently "soft limits" — monthly cap is strictly enforced; short-window throttling will roll out in later versions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I keep using after the 72h trial without subscribing?

Mochi can't make new things for you. Trial expired + no subscription = chat stops at out-of-quota, no surprise charges. To continue, two steps: ① first top up credits (1000 credits = $1) ② then tap 'Subscribe' at the top of the app and pick 1/3/6/12 months. Just topping up without subscribing won't work — credits are the currency to pay subscription. Without a subscription the app still opens and you can view past works; nothing you made is lost.

Where do the $50 and $180 list prices come from?

They're based on our compute cost plus market reference points for similar AI creation tools. The 40% / 44% off is a launch promo — our goal is to make a real creation tool affordable for families, not to maximize the price tag. The discount you see is the price you pay now, and we'll give plenty of notice before anything changes.

How does the 10% annual discount work?

Locking in 12 months at once is the biggest savings tier. The $50 monthly plan at 12 months works out to $324 — that's $30 × 12 with 10% off, saving $36 on top of the launch discount. The $180 monthly plan at 12 months works out to $1080, saving $120. The middle tiers scale linearly: 3% for 3 months, 6% for 6 months.

Aren't credits and subscriptions the same thing?

No. Topping up = trading dollars for credits (1000 credits = $1). Subscribing = spending credits to lock in a month of "monthly quota". You can use credits to chat with Mochi without subscribing, but subscribing activates the monthly compute optimizations + 5h soft throttle + weekly peak guardrails for a smoother experience. The 40% / 44% launch deal is on the subscription price, not the credit exchange rate.

What happens if I upgrade from the $50 plan to the $180 plan mid-month?

Just top up the difference in credits, then pick the higher monthly plan on the subscribe screen. Your credit balance adds up, and the 5-hour and weekly peak caps lift to the $180 plan tier ($100 limited) automatically.

Can multiple kids share one computer?

Right now it's one account per machine (bound to a device fingerprint). Siblings who both want their own creations are best off on separate computers. Reinstalling the app on the same machine still counts as the same account.

Will my kid lose their account if I reinstall Windows or swap a hard drive?

Usually no. We use 3 fingerprint components (MachineGuid + BIOS Serial + disk ID) — any 2 matching is enough to recognize the same account. Reinstalling Windows typically only changes 1 component. But if you swap hardware and reinstall at the same time, a new account may be created — contact support and we'll migrate it manually.

Can I get a refund on credits I've already bought?

Topped-up credits are non-refundable. The trial is free, so no refund issue there.

How can I see how much my kid has used?

In the app, the 🪙 badge in the chat header shows "remaining / total this month" in real time. Hover the badge to see remaining USD value + plan expiry. A dedicated parent panel for "top-up history + monthly spend" is coming in a future version; for now check the partner deeplinkgame top-up portal for detailed transactions.
